The group's research activities are diversified in seven lines, within which undergraduate and graduate students have been trained at the Master's level. In the last five years the group has published 47 articles, 36 books and book chapters, has directed 15 undergraduate papers and 11 graduate thesis and has developed about 26 projects, some of them still in progress and carried out jointly with other national or international entities. The research activities are developed at the same time as teaching activities, in the curricular area of Biology, participating in a significant number of undergraduate courses, mainly in Biology, but also providing services to Agronomy and lately to Engineering.
